And then there were two!

                                                              And then there were two!   Beck, Owen and Christina left for Canada Saturday morning, leaving Henry and I to ourselves for the first time since he flew back to Canada in January.   As much as we enjoyed sharing our adventures with so many people, we're both looking forward to the next leg of our adventure, Wardrick Wells, Staniel Cay and the Thunderball Grotto, and last but certainly not least Georgetown.   We didn't have to leave the marina until noon, so we made the best of their amenities right up to the last minute, coiling up the water hose around 11:45, making sure we had full tanks before we left.  I also had another hot shower and emptied the garbage bins before casting off.      We decided to move the boat out into Monta...

                                                                                    The Gang's all Here!   Shortly after completing my last post the sun started setting at 6pm. Between the additional sunlight hours and the sun's ever increasing height in the sky, we've started breaking even on power.  Just in time, Deb flies in with the new starter in a couple of days, so I might not need to fire up the generator too often in the near future.   Back when the starter failed and I hitchhiked to the shop. The woman that gave me a lift has kept in touch.  She works for a number of car share companies, so I've been funneling her some work, between the people I meet in the anchorage and those I meet through the Facebook Bahamas...

The Doldrums

                                                                                         The Doldrums Wed Jan 31st, 2024- It's been a quiet couple of days hanging out on the boat without any WIFI.  I've been watching some of my old favorites on DVD when I'm not writing, or plugging away on the boat.  I managed to finish the installation of the SSB, now I've just got to read the rest of the instructions on how to actually use it!  When we're without WIFI the SSB will still allow us to keep up to date on the weather, at the very least.  Had Starlink not been so expensive ,we would have been much better going with it.  Every other boat down here is using Starlink without fail, the Bahamas is considered cl...
